Secondary Operations
Secondary operations help prepare wood components for final use, saving time during assembly and improving part functionality. These processes ensure that turned or machined wood products meet exact specifications.
We offer a comprehensive range of secondary operations to enhance and customize wood products.
Common Secondary Operations We Offer

Chamfer
Creating beveled edges for improved aesthetics & functionality. Commonly used in tool handles, knobs, dowel ends, and more.

Countersink
Drilling conical holes to allow screws or bolts to sit flush with or below the surface. Common in jigs, fixtures, and components that need clean fastener integration.

Crossbore
Drilling intersecting holes for complex assembly requirements. Ideal for chair legs, mallets, and assembly-driven parts requiring strong cross-joint anchoring.

Endbore Drilled
Drilling precise holes at the ends for joinery or hardware insertion. Frequently used for threaded inserts, joinery pegs, or connecting rods.

Pointing
Shaping into a pointed form for specific applications. Common for skewers, plant stakes, flagpoles, or products that need to be inserted into the ground or another surface.

Metal Threading
Incorporating metal threads for secure fastening. Used in handles, knobs, or tools that need removable or adjustable components.

Rounded
Smoothing edges or surfaces to achieve a rounded profile. Often applied to handles, batons, or other components for comfort and appearance.

Slotted
Cutting slots or grooves for assembly or design purposes. Used in display components, tool handle assemblies, and joint hardware.

Taper
Gradually reducing the thickness or width. Common in broom handles, shovel shafts, and other parts.

Tenon
Forming projecting end parts (tenons) for insertion into corresponding mortises in joinery. Frequently used in wooden columns, balusters, and furniture frameworks.

Wood Threading
Creating threaded sections directly for assembly without metal inserts. Used in knobs, custom fasteners, and wood-to-wood mechanical parts.
