In the beginning…

H. Arnold Wood Turning was founded by Herman Arnold and his son William in 1919. They opened shop in Brooklyn, New York making hand turnings. Not too long thereafter, always the innovator, H. Arnold Wood Turning began to use some of the first semi automated wood lathes. During the Great Depression of the 1930’s, the company concentrated on making wooden buttons which helped them ride out the harsh economic times.

H. Arnold Wood Turning remains a family run business in its fifth generation!! Led by Jonathan Arnold, he is joined by his sister Melissa Friedman, daughter Ashley, wife Ann and a team of highly skilled and experienced sales members, who together have over 175 years of experience in the industry! Over the past decade, H. Arnold Wood Turning has acquired several of its competitors, including Bogert & Hopper, and most recently Stolle Wood Products. H. Arnold Wood Turning, and all their divisions, can provide you with the product you are looking for at the best possible price, without sacrificing to quality and service.
We provide a wide range of wood products manufactured on state of the art equipment including sophisticated CNC’s, lathes, and moulders.
Additionally, we offer a large selection of softwoods, hardwoods and exotic woods, as well as an array of secondary work to enhance your products, including various finishing and printing capabilities.
In addition to supplying domestic products, we are also a direct importer since the mid 1970’s, and can also meet your product needs with the help of our reliable overseas suppliers. We can ship both container loads and less than container loads of product at competitive prices.
